As we reported in October, the leadership of West Cherkaschyna Tourism Cluster has decided to assist Mykola Dekhtarchuk, known as Did Panas, who was forced to cease operations in Uman in mid-2019. Finally, we succeeded in helping Mr. Dehtyarchuk resume his activities. Production of souvenirs remains in Uman, and the workshop will be located in the village of Buky (Mankivsky rayon). From now on, Buky canyon guests will be able to purchase authentic souvenirs by Did Panas and visit his workshop.
“The result of this painstaking work is the resumption of the activities of the Did Panas’ Workshop in the territory of our Tourism Cluster,” says Cluster President Oleksandr Fainin. – “We are very grateful to the Chairman of Butska Hromada Serhiy Zaliznyak, Board Member of Tourcluster Oleksiy Maslyuk and directly to Mykola Dekhtarchuk for another step in promoting the sustainable development of the West Cherkaschyna region. This case should be an example for other residents of the region to be involved in the tourism industry, where every tourist is an investor to local infrastructure. We will continue to work to support the national craft manufacturers and promote the production of souvenirs, rural, green and gastronomic tourism.”
