In general, apart from Mr. Alexander, there are only 7 members of the Public Council, with 102 members, who are somehow involved in tourism. This is Advisor to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Pavlo Kornienko, General Director of the National Reserve Sofia Kyivska, expert in the field of architecture, restoration, construction, practices of the monumental and museum business Nelya Kukovalska, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine Alexander Liev, Director of Front Manager LLC, Chairman of the Ukrainian Association of Entertainment Organizers Maxim Plachtiy, Representative of the Board of the Association of Hospitality Industry of Ukraine, Ex-Head of the Parliament Subcommittee on Tourism and Resorts Anna Romanova, founder and director of the Welcomer Network Vitaly Fedorchenko and President of the Ukrainian Medical Tourism Association Violetta Yanyshevskaya.
“On the one hand, it is a great honor to be a member of the Public Council of the Verkhovna Rada Committee, but on the other hand, it is a big problem. Because the question arises – how 8% of the total members of the respected Public Council will be able to influence tourism decision-making if they are accepted by at least one third of the votes present? “, – says Alexander Fainin. – “According to the authorities, the reforms of the state management of the industry should start in January 2020. Probably, only then will we achieve a certain result when we get a separate state authority with an adequate budget and a strong team of professionals.”
“I want to share the good news,” Mr Fainin continues. – “In the last two months, I have made personal progress: in mid-September I became an expert on the European Commission, and a month later received the status of International Advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Well, and of course, I am the only representative of the tourist cluster movement, which I am convinced that I have sufficient experience and strength to promote and promote the idea of cluster development of Ukrainian tourism, as well as to raise funds for business development of members of tourist clusters. A large strategic document has been developed by the initiative group and the international experts involved to enable SMEs working in the tourism and hospitality industry to be consulted and funded to create new or expand existing projects. let us inform you further on our site. So, let’s continue to work.”
