The 4th HOLI DANCE UMAN 2019 was held in Uman on June 1 and 2, 2019. The Children’s Dance Festival is dedicated to International Children’s Day. Children of all ages participated in the dance competition. The smallest is 2.5 years old, the oldest is 24 years old.
“Holi Dance Uman Festival is dedicated to International Children’s Day. We have been conducting it for 4 years in a row”, – says the co-organizer of the festival, Sergei Krikun. – “The peculiarity of the festival is that it is actually a choreographic competition, which has its own feature – the battle with the colors of the hall. The event is interesting for children of all ages, and is where the whole family has fun. In addition, the festival is non-alcoholic.” It was founded the 2016 butterfly dance choreographer Mariana Shvets. At that time several groups and about 1000 visitors took part in it.
“This year’s festival is very large. 31 teams from 27 cities of Ukraine came to us. The farthest from them is 500 km from Uman”, – adds co-organizer, director of Uman Concert agency Sofia Litvinenko-Chernomaz. – “About 8,000 guests attended the festival in two days. More than 500 kg of paint were used during the battles”.
